(2006) The lectures covered the basic principles and the usage of geographic
information systems, image and video processing and database systems as
the basic knowledge for the management of earth observation data (Kitamoto, Satoh, Katayama).

(2007) The lectures covered the basic principles and recent advances of remote
sensing, bioinformatics and neuroinformatics as the basic knowledge for
collaborative research between informatics researchers and earth or
biology researchers (Kitamoto, Kuma, Yamaji).

(2008) The lectures covered the basic principles and the usage of geographic
information systems, relational databases and XML as the basic knowledge
for the management of earth observation data (Kitamoto, Hidaka, Kato).

(2009) The lectures covered the basic principles and concepts of earth science information management system and search engines (Kitamoto).

(2010) The lectures covered the basic knowledge of earth science data management in terms of remote sensing, geoinformatics, and data integration of earth science data (Kitamoto).
