1. Drift Ice in the Sea of Okhotsk in 1995

This page shows satellite images of the Sea of Okhotsk in the following. Images are taken on 12:00 JST (03:00 UTC) every day, and we show the latest image and the animation by concatenating those images. In the left side of an image, you can see the island of Sakhalin and on the right of it you can see a white band extending vertically. This is the drift ice drifting on the Sea of Okhotsk. If you look at the animation drift ice can be recognized by noticing different types of movement; clouds change their forms every day, but the band changes slowly in one day (reference: other sources). Hokkaido is located at the bottom left.
