Internship

We have two ways to accept graduate students from abroad as internship students.The first is NII International Internship Program. Master's and/or Ph.D. students, who are enrolled in the partner institutions that have signed MOU agreement with NII, can be applied to the program through partner institutions. Applications directly sent to me are not accepted. The second is JSPS Summer Program, and the applications should be sent to JSPS. Basically I accept students only by two ways above, but occasionally I accept students from other ways. I can suggest the following research topics.

  1. Database Application : Emergency information systems for meteorology and disaster reduction - Digital Typhoon
  2. Earth Environment : Earth environmental informatics for agriculture, biodiversity and climate change - Earth Informatics / Vertical Earth
  3. Digital Archives : Cultural heritage informatics for geographic information, 3D modeling and multilingual processing - Digital Silk Road
  4. Image Analysis : Content-based image retrieval and biological image analysis - Content-Based Image Retrieval / Biological Image Analysis
