Typhoon RAMMASUN was formed in Mariana Islands. The typhoon is forecast to move westward to Philippines. The previous typhoon, Typhoon NEOGURI was also born in Mariana Islands and passed near Guam, but the track of this typhoon is much more south compared to the previous one moving toward Japan. This suggest that the summer subtropical high pressure system has extended much more toward west in this one week.
