Typhoon DUJUAN did not make landfall on Taiwan, but it killed a few people and brought floodings and landslides mainly in the Southern part of Taiwan. Afterwards, the typhoon moved straight toward Hong Kong, still being the most powerful typhoon this year in this area. The storm warning signal of Hong Kong was raised to nearly its highest level.

According to the forecast issued by Japan Meteorological Agency, Typhoon DUJUAN is heading toward Taiwan and China, but not toward Japan.
