Typhoon YUTU was formed near Midway Islands. We already had two typhoons, Typhoon PEWA and Typhoon UNALA, which were formed in the central Pacific as hurricanes. This typhoon was also born near the central Pacific, so it may cross the border in the reverse direction to become a hurricane.
