Typhoon SOULIK is weakening and passing about 60km distance to Ogasawara Islands. According to AMeDAS observation data, the center of the typhoon was closest between 7AM and 8AM local time. The boundary of the eye is not clear, but the region that looks like the eye is extending to about 100km in diameter, and Ogasawara Islands are located near the boundary of the eye since this morning.

Typhoon SOULIK is now concentrating clouds near the center and it
seems to be in an intensification stage. The forecast says that the
typhoon will turn from northward to northeastward to hit Ogasawara
Islands, just after the strike of Typhoon YAGI.

Typhoon SOULIK was formed in south of Minami Torishima. According to the forecast, it will move west-north-west in the Pacific with steady intensification.
