Typhoon TALAS is a poor weak typhoon that might be almost died, but surprisingly it is surviving. Without attracting much attention, it broke
the record of longest lifetime among typhoons whose minimum pressure is more than 992hPa, which is in some sense a great record but basically no one cares. This record terminates if this typhoon starts developing, but for the time being it seems the typhoon keeps its week intensity, which means the longest lifetime record will be extended for a while.

Typhoon TALAS is moving westward near Truk Islands. It is still not intensified into a strong typhoon, and it is forecast to pass near Guam.
