Typhoon KOMPASU was formed in east of Japan. This typhoon season has been exceptional, but this is yet another exceptional typhoon that is born north of 30 degree latitude, and immediately draw near Kanto and Tohoku. Moreover, it is forecast to reach Hokkaido, so it may make another exceptional record of making two successive landfalls at Hokkaido from the beginning of the season.
