Typhoon GONI was formed in the northern area of South China Sea. This is not a strong typhoon at this moment, but is expected to move near Guangdong Province and Hong Kong area.
By the way, this typhoon is different from a tropical depression in the Pacific Ocean for which information was already issued to become a typhoon within 24 hours. That one is still not a typhoon, but a tropical depression without information suddenly became a typhoon.
